“As little as possible, as much as necessary”

Olaf Evjenth, PT (1926-2020)

We’re very different, in a good way…

When asked about physical therapy, most people immediately think of hot packs, electrical stimulation, doing exercises by themselves, and having to follow an intense therapy schedule (3 visits per week for 4 weeks? “Ain’t nobody got time for that!”).

We are hands-on, one-on-one, and fast results kind of practice. Our objective, is to get you pain free and self managing your care, in three visits or less. It doesn’t always work, after all, people and physical issues vary greatly, but in most cases we succeed (take a look at our testimonials).

We are available to our clients. Same day appointments, text messaging support, direct cell phone number to your therapist, are all an integral part of our service.

What is our secret sauce?

  1. Acknowledge the symptoms (pain, tightness, etc.)

  2. Treat the root cause. It isn’t uncommon for us to focus on a client’s pelvis mobility when the pain is in their shoulder, or work the rib cage to solve a painful neck

  3. Educate, instruct, and discuss - so that you are in control of your health

  4. Always keep it simple!

What does a Physical Therapy session look like with us?

  1. It starts with a conversation about your current status - If this is your first visit, we want to understand the history of your symptoms. What has helped in the past? What are your goals? For returning clients, what is your current status? Are you able to effectively self-care between visits?

  2. We perform testing and discussion - this hands-on part is imperative for a successful session. We identify areas that need attention, demonstrate the effect on your physical well being, and set benchmarks for treatment. During the testing you will clearly see any range of motion or performance deficits, so that at the end of the visit, you can experience the progress made.

  3. Treatment is provided - we use many different techniques and tools to:

    1. Optimize the alignment of the skeletal system

    2. Activate the neuromuscular (nerve-to-muscle) connection

    3. Attend to soft tissues which include muscles, tendons, ligaments, and connective tissues

  4. Re-test - the same tests we performed at the start of your session will be repeated so that you can compare the difference in feel and performance.

  5. Self-care instructions - you will be instructed with the self-care techniques.
